Preschool Field Trip - Heritage Apple Farm

This is our second field trip of the year and we got to visit the apple farm. The kids had so much fun! They had an enormous apple bounce house, hay mazes, animals, apple cider in cute pumpkin sippy cups, and their pick of fresh produce. AND, my favorite, gorgeous dahlia's! I bought the bunch that Dylan thought was best for me, then I HAD to get another one, cause Elle picked a different bunch. Bummer! :)

I had to get this shot in. The two on the right are normal sized Honey Crisps from Costco. The three on the left are the gargantuan ones from the apple farm. Wow!

My gorgeous beauties! Pictures just don't do them justice...

Carving Pumpkins

This year my sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Keith, came over and carved pumpkins with us. The kids loved it!

While I helped hollow the kids' pumpkins, Mike took care of our big one. Now I get to carve a triple spider & web design on it. It'll take a while because it's so intricate, but I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done!

Plumper Pumpkin Patch 2010

This year we decided to try a new pumpkin patch. It was fun, but a little spendy. So, we'll try a new big one next year or continue going to one that we like that is much smaller, but still has all the stuff (and it's less expensive) as the bigger ones. The kids had a lot of fun and I had a blast snapping my camera away at them every cute chance I got. :) So, here is a glimpse of a great family time at the pumpkin patch!

I can't believe how big they're getting!

Lovin' the owners dog, who was making his way to each of the picnic tables looking for some grub

"Dylan, this is too heavy..."

"Don't worry, Elle, I got it!"

"This is perfect, it's green!"

"I got this, Dad!"

What have we been up to?

So, this is from quite long ago (Aug-Nov), but Mike had uploaded these all to the site and I never got to them. I didn't want to not do anything with them after the time he spent doing it, so here it is anyway. Plus, he gave me a bad time about posting pics with such a huge age gap since the last ones, so this will bridge the gap. :) I have more I'm working on, so I will catch up in the next couple days.

Modeling her dress to hem for my sister's wedding. My mom made this, she's amazing!

Dylan saw a fruit-cake in a Friend magazine and wanted to make one, too, but all we had were strawberries. And since, of course, all cakes have candles, this is what the final result was. :)

What a wonderful experience to wake up one the morning to find that Dylan decided to make some frosting all by himself.
At least this was the only "ingredient" he got to. :)

Helping Elle. What a great big brother!

Dylan decided to pour Dad's Parmesan for him, what a sweetheart. Now Mike loves A LOT of Parmesan, but even this was too much for him ;)

Helping Dad make a stand for our TV

A fun slide at Mike's work activity. Dylan actually went down it with Dad and loved it, but decided once was enough :)

This was a happy scream

Dylan's "I was caught being good" chart. This helped a lot.

Lots of family was able to come for Dylan's 3rd birthday. Even Mike's side from Tri-Cities, WA was able to be there!

Both Dylan, and now Elle, have their mark on exploring the contents of the Ovaltine container all by themselves

Dad's famous K-bobs. This is on the grill for about an hour, I think. Then each slice of steak, onion, and pepper wrapped in bacon is stuck in a hamburger bun. It's so yummy!

Dylan and his cousin, Lilly, holding hands while watching a movie. So cute!

A day out on the river on Mike's Dad's boat. Dylan had a blast riding the tube & steering in the boat. What a great day!

This was Dylan's first day of preschool back in September

When Dylan filled up his "Iw as caught being good" chart, he got to play in the 'tiny car' as they call it.
He was so excited! Now, we just need to get it working right! :)

See ya, Mom!

My sweet boy

My personal window washers

She walked around the island with her hand like this many times. Hahaha!

He was playing around and asked me to take pictures of him, so I did! Don't need to ask me twice!

Our first preschool field trip to the Apple Farm

It was so fun and all the kids had a blast.
They had two different mazes, a gigantic inflatable apple to bounce in,
face painting, tiny petting zoo, and a tractor ride.

Elle must have felt a close connection with sweet, little Harrison

I did not have him pose like this, I promise. He just sat that way and I had to get the shot!

A lot, I know, but I just couldn't pick any less! They're too cute!

I can't remember what this "gel" was made of...

Halloween cookies at great-Mama & Great-Papa's house

I LOVE this one!

Playing dress-up with the pile of clothes I was sending to D.I. It was a big organization day in the guest room.

It is a regular thing now, that whenever Dad eats (with or sometimes without us),
they always come up asking for a bite. Or as Elle says, "Bise!"

He LOVES to help with any kind of cooking that I do. He is a fabulous sous chef!
Here we're making Halloween cupcakes for a ward party.

My cute little Dash & bunny
Posing before church

Poor little thing. :( Dylan was playing in an upside-down ottoman and slipped. He cut this on the end of a bolt.

I was in charge of planning my sister, Rachael's, wedding reception. So, with a lot of set-up & take-down help, it all turned out beautifully!

Perfect shot!

Way past bedtime...she was such a good sport
