Home Sweet Home

Well, well, well...here we are again, after 3 months! It's not that I don't love posting new pictures, it's just that I take a LOT of them AND I don't even think to post more often than once a month, so THEN it takes forever to sort through which ones I want to post on the blog, which is daunting, THEN I'd need to resize them & red-eye-nix them (which makes it faster for me to take the picture in the first place, because the red-eye reducer on my camera is an extra flash, which means the picture actually taken is a second after the perfect shot I was taking the picture for) SO I end up getting emails from friends asking me when on earth I am going to post new pictures AND even more telling me that I need to post new pictures - I'm being lazy AND my husband also asking, I'd say probably every couple of weeks, if I did the blog yet SO then a day comes that I say, "That's it, I'm posting to the blog!" (so now Mike asks me about it every day, which is really a boost for me to get it done, cause I really do want to. He's so supportive in so many ways! Mmmm) SO I sit down and sort through pictures one day (because, hey, it takes a while), batch them into posts, red-eye, and resize them the next day, and now I'm posting!

So, what is the moral of this ever growing tale?
It is that if I would just sit down and do it once a week (or even pick out pictures each night from that day) then my note on this post would be 10 words long instead of about 300. :) Or, in short, JUST DO IT MORE OFTEN! I'm learning my lesson slowly, which I guess is the best way, cause the habit will last longer...I suppose.

SO ENJOY!

Here is our house, which I absolutely LOVE! And
I will feel perfectly comfortable here for a long time,
until we are able to buy a house of our own!

And now...ELLE!

Now we get to the sweet faces of my Elle. I cannot even begin to describe how
sweet she is. I have so much fun playing with her!
She is starting to laugh every now and then and I love it!
So, enjoy the many adorable faces of my little girl. :)

We've got the same pose of Dylan when he was younger.
I love to compare similar pictures of the two of them.

Geh-Gam & Peh-Pop (Great-Gram & Great-Pop) came to visit at the end of July.
Dylan had so much fun with them here and it was nice for him to get to know them better!

This was a month and a half ago and she did so well!
She's always been able to hold her head up very well, but I
was amazed at how long she was able to hold herself up here!

I absolutely love this look

My favorite outfit on her!

What a sweetheart!

Scootin' around in a dustpan

He absolutely LOVES Elle

Licking ice...

...a sucker...

...and his first taste of cotton candy

Using his oh-so-cool flashlight to fix our "broken" vacuum

His first success in the potty!
It was very exciting, but at the same time, I'm so glad to have the convenience of diapers until he's serious about it! :)

Loves to be like Dad

Super Dylan!

I was on the computer and turned around to see this...and burst out laughing

This was our craft day activity

This was when my sister, Rachael, came to visit and he would bring
his blanket on top of her suitcase and lay down saying, "Night, night"

These ones looked to me like a boy off the movie Newsies

He LOVES frozen go-gurts

He sure had a blast with these water balloons. They are a regular request.
Sometimes I will fill one up just a tiny bit and let him carry it around the
house,
since it's too small to break when he throws it, though once he bit it
and it ended up
down the front of his shirt and another one I ended up
stepping on in the living room. :)

Dylan's Best Buds

Lovin' Quel
(That's what Dylan calls his Aunt Raquel)

Posing again with Aunt Raquel

Chillin' with Dad

Dylan's good friend, Claire, who moved to California just a couple weeks ago

His best friend Kobe, who also moved away last month
